Again, Former Nigerian Dictator’s, Abacha Sent $311.7m To Nigeria

$311.7m of a former Nigerian dictator General Sani Abacha loot as the head of state of Nigeria from 1993 until his death in 1998 has been sent back to the country on Monday, May 4 by the United State Government and the Bailiwick of Jersey.

How much is Abacha loot?

As at 2013, Nigeria had recovered about $1.3 billion of Abacha’s today the Attorney General of the Federation confirmed that the sum of $311.7 million from the United State Government has been received by the Nigerian government.

The Buhari administration has so far received $633m in Abacha Loot (2017 and 2020). Obasanjo Administration received far more: “By the time I left office in May 2007, over $2 billion & £100 million had been recovered from the Abacha family abroad,” Obasanjo said in ‘My Watch.’
