You must have heard of Farouq Osuolale University of Ibadan student, who redesigned the Innoson vehicle Logo. He’s like every other struggling designers out there, but he is smart, he made use of the right channel to get his idea to out.
Many businesses won’t call you to pitch your idea to them, they might not even know they need that idea of yours until they see it.
It’s a win win for both Farouq and Innoson. Innoson is using this as a marketing strategy to show Nigerians they are supporting Nigerian talents which in turn communicates to Nigerians the need to patronize Innoson (it’s Naija made). Farouq on the other hand is getting a career breakthrough.
The Logo is a modern classic logo which is well structured and definitive, it embodied every minute details of what the company stands for.
As a Brand Designer it is very important to note that presentation matters in every Design. If Farouq had displayed this logo in a flat 2D version it might not go viral or get the recognition.
In conclusion, nobody is ready to push or support if they don’t see the drive. Today’s businesses won’t sit down with many to hear your business ideas, they want to see what you’re capable of, not hear it. Congratulations to Farouq Osuolale
