The Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche, recently disclosed that the military does not know those sponsoring Boko Haram terrorist groups in Nigeria and how they get their weapons.
During invasions on military formations in the Nothern Nigeria, the weapons and hardware being used by Boko Haram insurgents were made away by the military.
How did Boko Haram get guns?
According to a source, he said “The candid truth is that most of these vehicles, armour tanks and other military hardware were stolen from our bases.
“Another means is that they get weapons from neighbouring Lake Chad countries at giveaway prices. It is easier to move arms and ammunition to Lake Chad Basin because of porous borders,” he added.
