World Health Organization (WHO) says there is no proof of a cure for Covid-19 after Madagascar’s president launched a herbal remedy for COVID-19 cure.
It means there is no evidence to show it actually works against COVID 19. Again, yesterday WHO, says Madagascar’s herbal tonic against COVID-19, not a cure. UN health agency also urged people not to try untested remedies for COVID-19.

- Madagascar has no death cases from coronavirus
Since the first three cases were confirmed in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar on 20 March till date the country had recorded a total of 193 confirmed coronavirus cases, 101 recoveries, and no deaths. Which made so many people around the world believe that the herbal tonic is the cure for the COVID-19 virus.

ECOWAS has also distanced itself from Madagascar’s Coronavirus medicine, they stated that they don’t endorse it and haven’t ordered packages of the medicine. They also stated that it has to go through a scientific study before they can endorse it.
At the time of this write-up, the South African government has set to assist the authorities in Madagascar to test and analyse the unproven herbal treatment for Covid-19.
Conclusion: In my own opinion, I think the herbal treatment for Covid-19 by Madagascar is quackery and the new methods of extortion from other countries. Until evidence scientifically proves that it’s herbal ‘cure’ of Covid-19.
