Joe Biden has been elected the 46th president of the United States of America. The Democratic candidate’s defected Trump with 22 electoral college votes for a total of 290.

Joe, a 77-year-old Democratic presidential candidate, former Vice President, earned his victory in the US 2020 presidential election, defeating incumbent President Donald Trump of the Republican party.

Opposition candidate Joseph Robinette Biden Jr won the US presidential election by more than 73.8 million votes. Incumbent President Donald Trump claimed voter fraud and election rigged on 5 November, before the results from all 52 states had been announced. The election marked the first time an incumbent president had lost re-election in the United States of America.

In a  statement released after Biden was declared the winner on Saturday said he it’s time for America to “unite” and to “heal.”

“We are the United States of America. And there’s nothing we can’t do, if we do it together,” he wrote.
