Peaceful Protest Is A Human Right.
That’s the message Rihanna sent to President Mohammadu Buhari Saturday night after learning that EndSARS protesters were arrested at the Lekki toll gate.
After Amnesty International Nigeria tweeted that several protesters were arrested and have been detained, the 32 years old singer replied: “Peaceful protest is a human right!! #EndSARS.”
She also said: “I can’t bear to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across our planet! It’s such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by! My heart is broken for Nigeria man!! It is unbearable to watch! I’m so proud of your strength and for not letting up on the fight for what’s right! #ENDSARS.”

Rihanna’s message to the president came minutes after Rinu Oduala, Nigeria EndSARS protest activist post on Twitter.
She said: “Looks like some protesters will be sleeping at the station tonight. They have one woman who “processes” passport picture & she has left the office. This is the reason 38 people are still in custody. We can’t give them food or water,” she tweeted.
