Christians from Southern Kaduna in Nigeria yesterday released videos and pictures of the bullet that killed 40 Christians on December 18, 2022, in Mallagum, Kagoro & Kamuru.
In the video obtained by MandyNews.com the Christians showed the ammunition used to kill dozens of innocent people in an area inhabited by various non-Hausa peoples living south of Zaria Emirate of Kaduna State.
Out of the 23 local governments in Kaduna State, 12 are located in Southern Kaduna. Some people believe that the concept of ethnic identification predominates over geographic identity.
In the footage, they can be heard asking, “This bullet is green.” It was used on our people. “Where is this one coming from?”
Although this blog is not very knowledgeable about security or ammunition, we found a tweet from a Twitter user who stated that the bullet was a 50 mm caliber.
In another tweet sighted by Mandy News, a user shared an image and concluded that the green-body bullet was designed for the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.
Asc Army’s website states 50 mm caliber, according to an article spotted by Mandy News. The 5.56 mm round is used by the M16 rifle, M4 carbine, and M249 squad automatic weapon.
The Nigerian government has not yet released any official statements about the popular videos and images.
At September 2021, a mass burial of 38 persons took place in the same mallagum.
