“Spirituality on TikTok” is a new trend on Chinese video-sharing app that inquires about real-life magic and spiritual encounter with a demonic ancestry.
Over the past half a decade, a social media platform known as TikTok that was founded in China for creating, sharing, and discovering short videos has become a place to seek the real-life world of witchcraft.
According to data gathered by Mandy News, “The hashtag #witchtok, #witchcraft, and #spiritualtiktok have accumulated more than 33.2 billion views.”
The main objective of spiritual TikTok is to assemble a community of folks searching for knowledge on witchcraft. There are a lot of videos on the platform that explore numerous spiritual practices of witches and some notable profiles that give room for anyone who wants to study the dark side.
The trend broke out during times of global pandemic.
Why The Spirituality On TikTok is Bad
The Bible told us about witchcraft, and you will find many warnings in the scriptures against it. Here are two.
“Do not practice divination or seek omens” (Leviticus 19:26).
“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12).”
The practicing of witchcraft is a big sin and a great abomination unto God.
“Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” (Leviticus 19:31).
Witchcraft practice is a very powerful path for the entrance of Satan and other demonic forces to enter into a person’s life. It takes the grace of God to be delivered from the spirit once you get used to a witch lifestyle.
I think it is very dangerous to fall for the witchtok videos on TikTok. Though they might seem harmless to you but it has a dark side to it that can lead your soul away from God and into the hands of Satan.
