However, video evidence, tweets and her post on twitch has surfaced that contradicts her story and proves that her accusations were false.
Jessica Fernandez, a TikTok user with a significant following, posted a video on her account in which she claimed that a man at her gym had made inappropriate and unwanted advances towards her. She stated that she felt “sexualized” and “uncomfortable” in the presence of this man. Furthermore, she posted tweets and Twitch stream videos expressing her anger and frustration towards the man.
After the video was posted, several individuals who have been following her on social media came forward with post that contradicted Fernandez’s story.
The video footage, which was reviewed by multiple independent sources, clearly shows that the man in question did not make any inappropriate advances towards Fernandez. Additionally, her tweets and Twitch stream videos were contradictory to the events that she claimed happened.
Twitchy.com reported that Jessica Fernandez is an influencer on the streaming platform Twitch, and maintains a channel focused on herself. While self-promotion is common among social media users, using her platform to falsely accuse an innocent man of misconduct in order to play the victim is highly unacceptable behavior. The man had simply offered to help her at the gym, and her accusations of creepiness are completely unfounded and unfair.
Additionally, the platform stated that “we were previously unfamiliar with Jessica until this incident, in which she falsely accused an innocent man of misconduct. Her actions are highly reprehensible, as they set back progress for both women and men.”
