Normally, one of the reasons most people are still unmarried is the cost of a wedding.
However, for your wedding or civil union, an Italian city known as Lazio is giving out 2,000 euros to couples.

What is the Lazio couple program?
In Lazio with Love is a 10-million-euro program launched by the Italian government to assist couples and companies in the wedding supply chain that have been particularly affected by the crisis: travel agencies, restaurants, catering, photographers, wedding planners, event companies, wedding dress packaging, florists, personal services, and so on.
The program is for Italian and foreign couples who marry or civilly unite in Lazio from January 1 to December 31, 2022, and who purchase services or products related to the event from Lazio companies.
What is the Objective of the Lazio €2000 couple offer?
In order to combat the economic crisis caused by the pandemic, the Lazio Region offers a 2,000-euro bonus to couples who contract marriage or civil union in Lazio in order to cover expenses at Lazio companies in the supply chain.
Who can benefit from the program?
Couples who marry or form a civil union in Lazio between January 1st and December 31st, 2022, both Italian and foreign, are eligible. For each couple, only one of the subjects who meets the requirements and conditions specified in the announcement may apply.
Eligibility for €2000
Expenses incurred by companies in Lazio in connection with a marriage or civil union, such as:
- purchase of wedding favors;
- ceremony car rental;
- purchase of formal dress and accessories (groom or bride);
- floral arrangement;
- catering and restaurant services (maximum 700 euros);
- personal services related to the wedding day, such as hairstyle and make-up;
- honeymoon (maximum 700 euros);
- rental of rooms and locations for ceremonies and banquets;
- video shooting and photographic book services;
- animation, entertainment, show services;
- wedding planner service;
- purchase of wedding rings;
- printing of holdings.
Each couple may submit up to five expense documents for reimbursement.
Under penalty of being ineligible, each expense must:
- be incurred in the period between 14 December 2021 and 31 January 2023, as shown in the accounting documents;
- not having been made through e-commerce (online purchase);
- have been made with traceable systems (bank transfer or electronic payment);
- comply with tax legislation, documented through invoices, receipts or accounting documents which show the type of expense and its relevance to the marriage or civil union;
- submit a reason compatible with the activities for which the grant is granted;
- be demonstrated through a payment document (bank transfer, POS receipt) with an amount identical to that of the expense document (invoice, receipt); in the event of discrepancy between the amount of the expense document and that of the payment document, the lower amount is admissible.
