We revealed in April 2022 that Davido received a payment of over $1 million for performing the FIFA 2022 theme song at the final draw in Qatar.

It was announced in November 2022 that Davido and Aisha had been scheduled to perform “(Hayya Hayya) Better Together” at the World Cup’s final ceremony.

Since then, people have been asking questions like, “How much was Davido paid to perform in the Qatar World Cup 2022 closing ceremony?”

FIFA knew it would be expensive to bring Davido, one of the most popular musicians in Africa, to more than 85,000 spectators and over 2 billion watching online and television broadcasts.

They needed him again to brighten up the stage because they were confident in his performance from the first time.

However, he will also make a lot of money from the World Cup in addition to the payment he will receive for his performance.

After his performance, a great deal of people would want to check out his music, attend his show, and purchase his merchandise.

So let’s look at how much Davido was paid at the Qatar 2022 world cup closing ceremony.

How much was Davido paid to perform at the Qatar World Cup 2022 closing ceremony?

According to the investigation conducted by Mandy News, for performing for a few minutes on stage at the Qatar World Cup’s final ceremony, the Omo Baba Olowo hitmaker closed a deal worth $1 million, which was the same amount offered to Rod Stewart, who turned down the gig because of the controversy surrounding human rights in the country.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Davido has received such a huge pay for his performance on stage, having previously performed in Qatar, including Dubai, and the total sum of money he made from his sold-out concert at the O2 Arena.

30BG fans, on the other hand, believe that Davido actually made close to $10 million for his performances on stage, but based on the research we have done so far, there’s no way FIFA would give the 30-year-old singer that amount.

Some followers claim he made $15 million, while others claim $20 million, and even opposing fans said he wasn’t paid. It’s fair to assume that the father of two still made a lot, even if he only performed for a short period of time on stage.

The whole roster of “Light the Sky” will be presented by Nora Fatehi, Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal, with performances by Davido and Aisha and Ozuna and Gims. Davido and Aisha will play “(Hayya Hayya) Better Together” live at the Lusail Iconic stadium.

Fans are advised to take their seats earlier than usual for the closing ceremony, which is scheduled to last for around 15 minutes and will begin two hours before the scheduled local kickoff time of 6:00 pm at the stadium’s outstanding 85,000-seat capacity.
