Ireti Doyle, a Nollywood actress, has announced her divorce from veteran actor Patrick Doyle.
Ireti Doyle, 55, confirms her divorce from veteran actor Patrick Doyle in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, stating, “We are officially divorced.”
The mother of six also set the record straight on the misconception that she had her first child at 17, stating that she was actually 19 when she gave birth for the first time.
In his introduction, Chude revealed that the actress experienced both physical and domestic violence during her teenage years.
She backed up his assertion by stating that she was not in a position to get married at the time, let alone to the person she had chosen to marry.
The Tinsel actress stated: “In retrospect, I realize that I should not have gotten married at that point in my life, and even less so with the individual I chose as my partner.”
Ireti and Patrick Doyle tied the knot in 2004 and have been blessed with six children, however, they tragically lost one due to sickle cell. In 2017, Ireti decided to leave the household following a disagreement with her spouse that remains undisclosed.
Two years later, Patrick Doyle publicly apologized to his wife on social media, admitting that he was responsible for the problems in their relationship.
