Im looking at the video from a nonbiased perspective and am not taking sides one way or the other.
You can see that the red headed girl in white hits the fat one with the plaid shorts first. The fight then begins. The fat one has the advantage early and both go to the ground where the fat one has the weight advantage and continue to pummel the one in the white shirt.
This being Missouri I can see the defense trying to use the Missouri stand your ground law that removes the duty to retreat to defend your life or another persons. The prosecution will likely use the angle of it was excessive and there was no life threatening circumstance at play prior to the head being smashed repeatedly on the concrete and it was a gladiator-style “meet in street” fight. The stand your ground law however, is not justified, if the person could have avoided using lethal violence by retreating, or simply stepping away from a confrontation. This is where the fat one wearing plaid’s legal defense will fail. She clearly could have retreated once the other one was on her back on the ground. Also it doesnt look good that she doesnt appear to have attempted to even ease up. Had she eased up and the one in white tried to attack again then the defense could point to that, but clearly at that stage the one in white shirt was incapacitated.
So at that stage she can either try to take a plea deal if one is offered or face a jury trial, which wont go well. Given that Misouri law neither allows nor prohibits mutual combat (where 2 people agree to duke it out, usually must be supervised by a police officer in states that do allow it) it is hard to tell if that will play a role in the outcome. Considering the law states that if it results in serious injury or death both parties can be held criminally liable I dont believe that will even be floated as a arguable defense. It appears that its a clear criminal charge and conviction. You also have to factor in the prosecutor and judges political will and if they are up for re election and also their record for similar cases.
I would like to hear other people’s nonbiased take on what occurred.

I dont think the victim has died, that was a social media rumor, however she is in critical condition. My guess is she will have lasting brain injuries at the least because teh convulsions you see in the video.

This wasn’t a racial fight, a black girl who i assume is a friend of Kailee appears to think about trying to help fight Maurnice, but then goes off to fight someone else. Also there were two black guys fighting each other. Maurnice is a 15 year old the size of a college linebacker and i would have never slammed someones head like that when i was in HS for fear of killing them. She def needs to be charged as an adult and given max prison time, especially if Kailee dies. No need to be rude and hateful with Mandy on here.
