A young girl has been reported poisoned by her stepmother in Abia State after she won a full scholarship to study in the United Kingdom because of her nine A excellent in West African Examinations Council exams (WAEC).
According to reports 16 years old girl named Chiderafrom Amakpoke Umuaku Isuochi of Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, who sat for the WAEC examination in 2019 had good results but unfortunately, she died before her time.
It was said that her stepmother allegedly poisoned her because she was jealous of her success.
The girl was said to have died in school after eating the poisoned food given by her stepmom earlier in the morning before leaving for school, eyewitnesses said she insisted until her last breath that the only food she ate was the food that was given to her by her stepmother.
