Abdullahi Adamu, former Nasarawa state Governor, has been elected national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The 76-year-old Adamu was elected through a vote by delegates at the national convention of the party at Eagle Square Abuja on March 26, 2022.
Abdullahi Adamu, who is now the new APC Chairman, was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a two-term PDP governor of Nasarawa, and the party’s Secretary-General of the Board of Trustees.
He was elected to the Senate in 2011 with the PDP.
