Afghanistan’s state-owned airline Ariana Afghan Airlines Co. Ltd also known as Ariana crashed in the country’s central Ghazni on Monday.
Arif Noori, the spokesperson for the provincial governor, confirmed the crash.
According to Mr Noori said “A Boeing plane belonging to the Ariana Afghan Airline has crashed in the Sado Khel area of Deh Yak district of Ghazni province around 1:10 p.m. local time”
Director of Ariana Airlines Alem Ibrahimi added “Our operation is reviewing the situation and they are doing a stock take of our fleet and will share information as it becomes available”
The state-owned airlines plane was reportedly carrying 83 people when it crashed 15 kilometres from the centre of Deh Yak district of Ghazni.
There is no official indication of injuries or fatalities.
