To prevent the spread of the COVID 19 coronavirus, Greek have cancelled all famous events known as ‘Apokries,’ end of carnival and Clean Monday, this weekend.

Apokries is a time when people around Greece dress up with masks and costumes

“city services are on constant alert so that they can respond immediately, if necessary,” and in cooperation with the responsible state agencies “are fully prepared to deal, based on an organised plan, any needs that may emerge in terms of the coronavirus.”
