ASUU Calls Off Strike 2020: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, set to call off the strike after a seventh time meeting with the federal government on Friday, November 27, 2020.

The union leadership reached the consensus during a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, in Abuja.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know About ASUU And The government Agreement

The Union insisted that payment of outstanding salaries must not be done as through IPPIS platform as promised if the strike would be suspended.

The government pledged to increase the total payment to the union to N70 billion. The union, however, insisted that the funding should be implemented before the strike would be suspended.
