With Ernesto Valverde facing the sack, Barcelona have made a three-man shortlist as they look to bring in a new man in the dugout for the upcoming season.
According to the claims, Ajax Amsterdam manager Erik ten Hag leads the list and Barcelona will attempt to land him at the Camp Nou. He has done a magnificent job with the Dutch giants and could also be used as bait by the Catalans to bring in Matthijs de Ligt. His tactical mind-set could perfectly sync with what the Spanish champions are looking for.
The other two managers who complete Barcelona’s wish-list are ex-Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc and Real Betis coach Quique Setien. The former has been on Real Madrid’s radar earlier on, but he has been jobless since being sacked by PSG in 2016. Meanwhile, Quique Setien is an admirer of Pep Guardiola and has set his mark on Real Betis by making them a European revelation over the recent years.
