Bello replied: “Rape? You saw part of a tweet of me replying a silly boy that called Mallam a murderer. At that point, I thought it was fair to add his mother. Ethnic vitriol? When a particular gang videotaped Northerners, called us illiterates and called Yoruba’s slaves, you never interjected.”

The wife to Kaduna State Governor and mother to Bello, Hadiza El-Rufai replied supporting his son:

“All you people talking about @B_ELRUFAI Don’t @ me. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. All is fair in love and war.
My belief: Respect everyone, but take no shit from anyone.
I didn’t see any threats of rape. I would never condone that,” she said.

“This dragging on Twitter, na turn by turn. LOL,” she added.

At the time of this report, Nasir El-Rufai is currently receiving treatment in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.
