A video of a Brooklyn community leader and bishop clutching a woman’s neck during worship service was released on social media, which caused him to go viral.
The video shows the man of God, whose name is Lamor Whitehead, visibly rushing towards the woman and putting his hands on her neck.
In the beginning of the video, which MandyNews.com was able to view, the pastor asked the woman, “Do you want to come up here and preach?”
The clergyman called out to her as if inviting her to the altar for what MandyNews.com saw in the video.
According to the information obtained by Mandy News, Bishop Whitehead was distracted by someone shouting from the church. He then orders the congregation to cease before inviting the woman forward.
The pastor also appears to have left the pulpit and appears to be moving toward the woman.
It can also be seen that as the lady walked up to the front of the congregation, she never stepped onto the altar where the man of God was. The American pastor waited until she had walked past him, then he stepped down off the pulpit and grabbed her while her back was to him.
According to the current news, the man has been taken into custody. It was later discovered that the law enforcement agency had invited him and the lady for questioning.
According to the information obtained by Mandy News, the pastor said that the woman was heading in the direction of his family.
He claims that she and possibly other people were sent in today to interrupt his service because they are allegedly connected to legal proceedings he is engaged in.
He claims he took the necessary precautions to protect his family and that he has additional video that would reveal the entire scenario.
Furthermore, Whitehead asserts that the story is being misrepresented and that he is pro-woman.
The pastor is an ex-felon with a reputation for showy displays of riches, Whitehead is well-known for his close friendship with Mayor Eric Adams of New York City.
Early this year, while attending morning services at Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, Whitehead and his wife were held up for a robbery at gunpoint.
He holds both a certification as a marriage and funeral officiant as well as a New York State Chaplain license.
