One suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP member has surrendered to troops of the Nigerian Army in Monguno, Borno.
Aside from the one insurgent who surrendered, Sani Muhammed, scores are claimed to have been slain by the troops.
The source said the terrorist surrendered after surviving a massive air offensive in Lake Chad where many ISWAP terrorists were killed.
Sani Muhammed is said to have surrendered to army troops in Monguno, Borno State’s LGAs (Local Government Areas).
