EFCC officials inspect the voting process at Bola Tinubu’s polling unit amid allegations of vote buying in the Nigerian election.

Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrived at the polling unit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to inspect the voting process. The polling unit, located at PU 085, Ward 3, Saturday Adigun, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State, is one of several polling units in the area where voting is taking place.

The presence of EFCC officials at the polling unit has raised questions about the integrity of the electoral process. Reports suggest that the officials are investigating allegations of vote buying, which has become a common practice in Nigerian elections.

Bola Tinubu, who is a former governor of Lagos State and a prominent political figure in Nigeria, has not commented on the EFCC’s inspection of his polling unit. However, his party, the APC, has denied any involvement in vote buying and has called on its supporters to conduct themselves in a peaceful and lawful manner during the election.

The EFCC officials are expected to remain at the polling unit throughout the day to monitor the voting process and ensure that it is free and fair. The commission has previously been involved in the investigation and prosecution of electoral offenses in Nigeria, and its presence at the polling unit is a sign of its commitment to ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.

As the voting continues in Lagos State and across Nigeria, it remains to be seen how the presence of EFCC officials at polling units will impact the outcome of the election. However, their inspection of Bola Tinubu’s polling unit underscores the importance of conducting free and fair elections in Nigeria.
