Oga Sabinus also known as Mr Funny is targeting Peak milk and Gala over use of the slogan, “Something hooge” and image “the investor’s vibes” in an advertisement.

The Rivers born comedian, who became known for using Asari Docubo’s 2016 speech and won the best content creator of the year 2022, has filed a lawsuit in Lagos court. He’s certainly not the first comedian to sue a brand, but the manner in which he’s doing so is amusing to many.

He alleged that his intellectual property had been violated in the lawsuit. The popular phrase, according to his lawyer, has been trademarked.

As a result, he charges Peak Milk N1 billion for using his trademarked phrase “something hooge.”

He also sued Gala for N100 million for using a cartoon-like image of his “investor’s vibes” without his permission.

Several people have taken to social media to call out Oga Sabinus, whose real name is ChukwuEmeka Emmanuel, accusing him of also using Asari Docubo’s speech for his skit.

Peak Milk and Gala had not yet responded to the lawsuit as of the time of publication.
