51 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on 17th of April 2020
493 cases have been confirmed, 159 cases have been discharged and seventeen deaths have been recorded in Nigeria
The 51 new cases are reported from eight states- Lagos (32), Kano (6), Kwara (5), Oyo (2), Katsina (2), FCT (2), Ekiti (1), Ogun (1)
A total of 6649 samples had so far been tested by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
