Nigeria on Tuesday reports the total of 6,401 coronavirus cases which surpassed 152 countries and territories around the world. The Country has sub-Saharan Africa’s highest death toll.
Nigeria coronavirus cases have Surpasses countries like; Finland, Ghana, Oman, Armenia, Bolivia, Luxembourg, Iraq, Hungary, Cameroon, Greece and 142 others.
More than 36,800 tests for coronavirus has been carried out in the 36 states of Nigeria since the outbreak in February 2020.
After Lagos, Ogun and Abuja were placed under lockdown on March 30, the government struggled to ramp up testing for the virus from 7000 to 36,899.
According to the data shared by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) On 19th of May 2020, 226 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria.
The country has a total of 6401 confirmed cases, 1734 cases have been discharged and 192 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
