Almost 10,000 people have succumbed to the COVID-19 illness in Africa largest country — though for now, the death rate has now risen to 273 higher than Ghana and several others.
Nigeria, a population of almost 200 million citizens now has the highest cases of coronavirus in sub-Saharan Africa
As of on the 30th of May 2020, the country recorded 553 new confirmed cases and 12 deaths 9855 cases have been confirmed so far, 2856 cases have been discharged and 273 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
