A video showing a customer shooting and killing a robber at a Houston restaurant has gone viral on the internet.
It is often more beneficial to put in the effort and trust in a higher power to bring about new opportunities, rather than resorting to stealing and potentially facing deadly consequences.
But that’s exactly what unfolded on Thursday night, shortly before 11:30, at a Rachito Taqueria in Houston.
A young man who could have acquired a skill and applied his talent to a better cause, benefiting society and earned money in the process, was slain because of his ignorance.
CCTV footage taken inside the restaurant shows a masked robber holding what seemed to be a gun while robbing staff and customers of their wallets, phones, and cash.
One of the customers at the restaurant was armed and, as the robber turned away from him, he drew his firearm and fired several times at the masked young man, who appeared to be attempting to leave the store.
The now-viral video has received millions of views since Mandy News first saw it on Twitter on Sunday.
The video of the incident has been widely shared on social media, with many people praising the customer’s actions as heroic.
While the use of deadly force is generally considered a last resort, it is important to note that the laws regarding self-defense vary from state to state.
It is not uncommon for people to use firearms in self-defense situations in the United States, and in many cases, this type of action is deemed justifiable.
However, it is always advisable to consult with a legal professional to fully understand the laws in your jurisdiction.
