Officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Cross River State have been counseled towards taking food from politicians even as on responsibility on the election day.
The state region commander of the corps, Chidiebere Nkwonta, gave the warning in Calabar the day prior to this at an election’s stakeholders’ assembly and a ability building programme for body of workers.
He warned that any officers stuck violating electoral legal guidelines or colluding with others to tamper with the elections could be dismissed.
“We strongly cautioned towards employees of the FRSC towards accepting gifts, beverages, meals, enticements from everyone or they themselves wasting time to move and consume in the course of election day.
“This is to defend towards feasible compromise or maybe getting drugged or harassed so that you will no longer be as much as discharge their given tasks on election day,” he stated
