Edo CP, Lawan Jimeta Killed By Coronavirus

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19 has killed a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Lawan Jimeta in Edo state the second victim to have died of the virus in the state.

The 57-year-old police officer is the latest victim of coronavirus disease in Nigeria as of Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Patrick Okundia, confirmed that the deceased, is a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), to journalists in Edo state, said the victim died on Tuesday.

As at the time of this report, Nigeria has recorded the death toll of 25 with over 700 cases.
