The claim: Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu and Ike Ekweremadu arrested for organ trafficking in the United Kingdom.

Atiku had hoped that Ike Ekweremadu would help him win over voters in the south-east, but he is currently detained in British territory.

His arrest with his wife shook the Nigerian internet because international and local news outlets reported that he was charged with organ trafficking in a UK court.

In a DailyMail piece from June 23, the story got started. Within a few hours, the article had been distributed and reposted by tens of thousands of media sites worldwide.

According to a DailyMail report, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice Ekweremadu were accused of planning to bring a child to the UK so they could harvest its organs.

Although Ekweremadu was indeed arrested, contrary to what several news sources had claimed, he was not a part of any organ trafficking. MandyNews.com later discovered the true story after the DailyMail report.

Ekweremadu from 2007 until 2019, he served as Nigeria’s deputy senate president for three years. The opposition People’s Democratic Party’s senatorial candidate is a lawyer and politician who has served in that capacity since 2003. It all started with Ike Ekweremadu’s daughter, who has kidney issues and has undergone dialysis.

They found a kidney donor from the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, and flew him to the United Kingdom.

Ike Ekweremadu did write to the British High Commission to explain the circumstance prior to the youngster being granted a visa.

According to information obtained by this blog, when the boy arrived in the UK, his kidney couldn’t match that of Ekweremadu’s daughter.

As a result, he reported to the British government that he was trafficking for organ harvesting, maybe because he didn’t want to return to Nigeria.

While en route to Instabul, Ekweremadu and his wife were arrested at Heathrow Airport.

Following the failure of their initial plan, they intended to obtain a kidney from a donor in Turkey.

According to the information made available by the authorities, the victim is a 15-year-old homeless child who Mr. and Mrs. Ekweremadu was transported to the UK under false pretenses from the streets of Lagos.
