A Nigerian minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola reportedly found a mystery camera at the scene of the shooting in the Lekki area of Lagos state on Sunday.

Mr Fashola said the object will be used for forensic analysis and further investigation.

In reaction to the viral report, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to air their opinions and mock the former Lagos state government.

Report that Fashola found camera

The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola at the Lekki tollgate during an inspection tour discovered a “secret” camera.

Did Fashola truly found camera at the toll gate?

No, according to multiple tweets

Immediately after the Lekki Massacre:
•Sanwo Olu inspected the crime scene
•Arise TV reporters were there
•LAWMA has done a cleanup
•Private volunteers have gone to clean the scene.

What is true:

The camera found by Mr Fashola its a covered BOSCH model. The German technology company owned by Robert Bosch, the camera does not work without an additional lens connected to it and it comes with the cover.

What is false:

After checking on the video with some available tools and zoomed in with gear – we suspect the object was planted there.

They claimed it will be used for forensic analysis and further investigation. How can it work with a cover and without the lens?
