Social media is abuzz with claims that American rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs, mocked Nigerian musician Burna Boy after he failed to win at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
There have been reports of false claims that Diddy, the American rap mogul, also known by his numerous aliases such as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Puff, Puffy, and Sean John, posted a message on his Instagram story mocking Nigerian singer Burna Boy after the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The claims originated from a viral screenshot of an alleged post on Instagram story, with the billionaire rapper quoted as saying, “I helped you win your first and only Grammy award, which I did out of kindness, and somehow you thought you could win another without my help? Oh okay.”
However, upon closer examination, it appears that these claims are false and that the screenshot has been doctored. A thorough review of Diddy’s social media accounts and interviews reveals no evidence of such a conversation or comment.
Additionally, the supposed quotes are inconsistent with Diddy’s usual tone and language on social media.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the claims of Diddy mocking Burna Boy after his 2023 Grammy loss are false and likely fabricated for the purpose of creating a viral controversy.
