Germany Gives Nigeria Additional N2.2 Billion To Fight COVID-19

The government of Germany has supported the most populous nation in Africa, Nigeria with €5.5 million to fight the deadly coronavirus that started from China in 2019.

The announcement was made known via Twitter on Tuesday, German Government said it is providing €5.5 million to support vulnerable people living in the North-Eastern states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe of Nigeria.

In the statement as sighted by mandynews said; “Germany provides an additional €5.5 million (c. 2.2bn Naira) to the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Nigeria to continue life-saving aid in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States in the context of the COVID-19 crisis.

Recall we reported that Nigeria’s senate has approved the fresh loan of 850 billion naira requested by President Buhari on Tuesday.
