The Supreme Court has upheld the judgment of the Court of Appeal which declared Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the validly elected governor of Oyo State.
The court therefore dismissed the appeal by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 governorship election in Oyo state, Immediate past Deputy Governor, Bayo Adelabu for lacking in merit.
