On October 2020. Live footage from Instagram, witness videos and pictures show how armed soldiers fire live bullets and fireworks into thousands of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos.
The protesters have been at the location for two weeks, shutting down the toll gate in a peaceful protest of police brutality, while demanding the end to police rogue unit SARS.
Several witnesses at the Lekki toll gate where the protesters have been protesting shared videos and photos from the massacre scene but the Nigerian army denied saying no soldiers were at the scene.
One witness at the protests, Akinbosola Ogunsanya, told reporters that the shooting began after the lights were turned off at the tollgate.
