During the week in Sokoto, northwest Nigeria, college student Deborah Yakubu was beaten, stoned and set ablaze by some Muslim youths, Mandy News reported.
The angry youth accused Deborah, who is Christian, of blasphemy because she demanded that they stop posting religious content on the WhatsApp group.
On Thursday, the students gathered on the school grounds in an attempt to track Deborah. They pulled her out and stoned her to death after she ran to the security checkpoint for protection.
As a result, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called for a nationwide peaceful protest by all churches and Christian groups.
The peaceful protest is to demand justice for Deborah Yakubu.
