Former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has ruled out a return to coaching at Benfica.
The 55-year-old was sacked by Manchester United on December 18 just days after the club lost 3-1 against Liverpool.
MySportDab report despite winning three trophies at United, Jose Mourinho struggled to keep his Manchester United team in the top four and lost his job.
Ever since his exit at United, Mourinho has been linked with a return to Real Madrid in Spain and jobs in Portugal.
“I do not like feeding news stories, but I have no intention of working in Portugal,” Jose Mourinho told Correio da Manha TV.
“The best way to respect a great club [Benfica] and a great president is to say that I was not approached.”
Quizzed on whether he could see himself back in La Liga or Serie A, Mourinho said: “It’s a tremendous honour when you return to a club where you’ve been, but I’m talking to you and I will not talk to anyone else.
“I’m not training, I love that I amnot talked about all the time and the best way to ensure that remains the case is for me to not talk either.”
