People all around the world are panic trading as fears over the global coronavirus pandemic are rising daily.
A lot are wondering if the Coronavirus COVID-19 is a sign of the end times after the virus has infected 171 countries and around the world with over 215,565 cases and killed almost 9,000.
Jesus Christ told us about ‘pestilences’ in the book of Luke. Pestilence means a deadly and overwhelming disease that affects an entire community.
The three questions rocking the internet right now are;
- Is Coronavirus a sign of the End Times?
- What does the Bible say about God and disease, and how do we respond?
- How do we find peace and protection in the midst of the storm?
Bible Verses About Signs Of The End Times
Jesus talked about End Time in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. According to what said in Luke 21:
“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven,” Jesus said in Luke 21:11 KJV
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring,” Luke 21:25.
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man,” Jesus added in Luke 21:36
The book of Second Timothy 3:1-17 also told us that “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:7
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be,” Matthew 24:21-22 also added.
Jesus said no man knows the day of the end-time except God the creator of heaven and the earth.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Jesus in Matthew 24:36.
Jesus also encourages us in many ways: don’t be deceived or surprised, don’t panic, be patient and witness (Mark 13).
“This will be your opportunity to bear witness.” Jesus is coming.
Inconclusion, this is not the end of the world but pray and ask for forgiveness because Jesus Christ said no man knows that day.
