You may remember him from the 1995 drama/comedy film, Friday. John Witherspoon was one of those actors that had you cracking up each time you watched him.
News surfaced on Wednesday morning that the actor and comedian died peacefully at the age of 77. An official message was posted to the star’s official Twitter account.
“It is with deep sadness we have to tweet this, but our husband & father John Witherspoon has passed away. He was a Legend in the entertainment industry, and a father figure to all who watched him over the years. We love you “POPS” always & forever. – The Witherspoon Family,” the message read.
