The United Kingdom’s Queen Elizabeth II, also known as Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, passed away recently at the age of 96. Early on Thursday afternoon, a statement was published on the Royal family’s Twitter account.
Queen Elizabeth II was last pictured with the new British prime minister, Liz Truss.
The pictures were taken on September 6, 2022, in her Scottish house, two days before she passed away.
The Independent, a UK news website, reports It was captured by PA photographer Jane Barlow, who was chosen to document the moment the queen named Liz Truss as her sixteenth prime minister.
