As my female friends in Nigeria would say ‘Saturday is for Owanbe’ the current novel coronavirus outbreak: fear and panic has changed the phrase from ‘Saturday is for staying at home’.

Amid coronavirus lockdown extension in Greece which will be over on May 4, I paid a visit to the street market in the country.

I got to the market 9: 00 AM this morning and Police were already standing everywhere

Why is there market today when there’s a lockdown?

The city doesn’t have any patient living with coronavirus, every suspected case are being transferred to Larisa. For instance, the cases in 36 states of Nigeria moved to Abuja & Lagos for treatment, so the government announced yesterday that the market should open.

More than 50,000 people have so far violated the country lockdown, according to the record.

I will be sharing some of the photos from my today market and the food I ate last week till this afternoon.
