Can traditional herbal medicine cure coronavirus?

Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina said it gives result in seven days and it has cured two people already, he said.

What is the name of the plant?

From what we gathered, the plant is from artemisia – a plant with proven efficacy in treating malaria – as well as other indigenous herbs.

It has been developed by the Madagascar Institute of Applied Research (IMRA) but has not been tested internationally.

At the time of this report, there is currently no known cure for coronavirus, which has infected at least 2.7 million around the world.
