LEGO stores have recently gained attention for promoting Pride displays and employee pins in their shops. One concerned father, John K. Amanchukwu Sr., decided to confront a store over this issue, sparking a heated exchange.

Amanchukwu, a TPUSA contributor, took to Twitter to share his experience, noting that four clerks at the store were wearing Pride pins. He questioned the store employees about their reason for wearing the pins and why they believed children would be interested in LEGO’s support for the LGBTQ community.

The store clerk responded to Amanchukwu’s inquiry by directing him to leave the store. Amanchukwu continued to press the issue, arguing that the pins could lead children to think about sexual acts. The clerk maintained that children likely wouldn’t think about such topics, to which Amanchukwu countered that they might upon seeing the pins.

Despite the clerk’s repeated requests for Amanchukwu to leave, the conversation continued until security intervened. Amanchukwu argued that promoting sexual orientations and gender identities in the store was inappropriate for children, as these are adult choices.

Amanchukwu called on fellow customers who “care about values” to stop shopping at LEGO and to support businesses that don’t promote LGBTQ themes to children.

In addition to this incident, a recent visit to the New York flagship store on 5th Avenue revealed an extensive Pride display, featuring various gender identity flags. The “progress flag” was among those on display, symbolizing marginalized queer people of color and transgender individuals.

LEGO is not alone in its support for LGBTQ gender identity. Other companies such as Ulta Beauty, Kitchen Aid, Nike, Ole Hendricksen, Olay, Kate Spade, The Plaza Hotel, and Volvo also push the LGBTQ activist agenda.
