My Visit to the Alikes Beach (Photos)

After the Greek government gradually lifts her 42-day lockdown in the country on May 5, I went to the beach. To join thousands of Greek citizens who are happy to see the beach again.

On Sunday, I went to the famous Alykes Beach with my two Russian friends and a Greek citizen and I sang my country songs on the journey.

Finally, we arrived at Alikes beaches – Volos Greece. I took my camera (sony w830), ball, and my swimming dress.

There are sunbeds and umbrellas to hire and a good range of beach bars, restaurants and tavernas at Alikes Beach.

I sat on the sandy bank’s beach I took out potatoes, baked pie and ice-cream for my dinner. I left the scene, I took a walk around the Alikes Beach to meet new friends introducing my culture to them and talking to them about what I love most in their country.

I also met some group of people playing African music I was so happy hearing Afro-beat on another continent. I snapped with a lot of friends and we all laugh out together.

On my way of going back to join my friends, I met some teenagers having fun screaming ‘my friend! please, photo’ I snapped them and they screamed ‘thank you, my friend.’

I came back to joined my friends at the beachside, I dropped my camera and I started swimming until two guys came with their own ball, we played together for over an hour, they advised we leave the water and go into the dry land.

Some girls later joined us to play volleyball, centred ball, and penalty kicks.

Never is there a dull moment when we are all together. Of course, we were very tired from our trip, so we rested all day at home.

This is my second beach report o the month, I pray I get better and visit more than 50 beaches this year.

Alikes Beach is a great beach to spend all day at and the cool offshore breezes make sunbathing a pleasure while also making it a good area for windsurfing.
