A young lady from Nigeria’s North-East geopolitical zone has been accused of blasphemy.
She’s probably hiding somewhere, with her heart beating fast and saying things like, “If I’d known, I wouldn’t have made such a comment.”
It all started last week when some Muslim students brought outsiders into Shehu Shagari College of Education to kill Deborah Samuel Yakubu, a second-year student. The incident sparked a national outpouring of support, with several comments on social media.
Naomi Goni, a Christian girl, joined other social media users to vent her displeasure with a comment that has now been accused of blasphemy.
In response to her comment, a group of Muslim youngsters flocked to the streets of Maiduguri, Borno State, in search of Naomi, using the hashtag #FindNaomiGoni.
They have promised to kill the young girl if they find her.
The threat to eliminate Naomi, as seen on Facebook, was started by one Abdulmajid Tanko Izge, who claimed to be the President of a group, Borno Youth Support.
He promised Naomi that she would receive the death penalty.
The protest in search for Naomi Goni started on Saturday, May 14th.
According to information obtained by MandyNews.com, Naomi Goni was arrested after the anti-blasphemy group threatened her life.
According to a new report received by MandyNews.com on Monday afternoon, hundreds of people gathered near the 7 Division bypass to protest against “Naomi Goni.”
Following the deployment of security personnel, MandyNews has learned that the enraged youngsters are currently going towards Gubio Camp.
Borno Police Command apprehended three teenagers carrying petrol during a protest in Maiduguri at the time of this report.
Stay safe out there.
