The Nigerian Senate has accredited N30,000 as the new national minimal wage.
The approval came subsequent to the submission of the record of the advert hoc committee set up to assessment the minimum wage. The committee was once headed by means of Senator Francis Alimikhena.
The selection was once taken at the plenary session on Tuesday.
A request used to be additionally made to the Nigerian government to publish a supplementary budget, which would encompass the shape of the new national minimum wage.
The House of Representatives had also beforehand accepted the new figure as the national minimum wage.
