Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki is set to defect to another party on Saturday, June 13.
Anselm Ojezua, Esq Chairman of the Governor Godwin Obaseki aligned faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State revealed on Friday evening that the governor will contest the election on a different political platform.
He said a decision on the platform on which the governor will contest will be made known on Saturday following a meeting of stakeholders.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow.
“They didn’t say he will not contest the election but that he will not contest under the platform of the APC.
“By tomorrow, we will meet and be in a position to make a proper statement on what the future holds for the party in Edo State,” Ojezua said.
We believe Godwin Obaseki could defect to The People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
