Security Forces have apprehended the terror group that stormed and killed worshipers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Owo last Sunday, according to reports gathered by

Anger mobs demonstrate at the Oba’s Palace, according to a video obtained by, to oppose the intended transfer of suspects to Akure.

Another video obtained by confirms the arrest, showing the Nigerian Army transporting the suspects to the palace while being escorted by Owo residents. The video can be seen here.

In a now-viral video, Olowo of Owo, speaking from the palace, acknowledges the arrest of suspects on June 9th.

The video of His Royal Highness, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye (The Olowo of Owo) announcing the arrest of the gunmen to the massive throng gathered at his palace grounds in his native tongue may be viewed here.

The palace of Olowo and the Ondo State Police Commissioner have yet to issue an official statement.

As a result, many Nigerians are curious about how the Owo Shooters were apprehended.

Some influential women in south west Nigeria gathered a few days after the Owo Church Massacre to invoke the god of iron, known as ogun, against the attackers.

The women can be seen gathered in the video, which has gone viral on social media, cursing the perpetrators of Sunday’s killing of worshippers.

If you’re wondering how the gunmen were apprehended, an unsubstantiated source claims that they reported themselves to the locals.

According to a source, the Owo women used the force of Ogun lakaye, the god of iron, the triumphant king of war, on the church shooters, and they were apprehended under unexplained circumstances just a few days later.
