A rumor circulating on social media that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is about to offer Atiku Abubakar a presidential ticket has sparked a wave of one million man marches in support of Peter Obi, resulting in a huge rally scheduled for Saturday in 37 places around Nigeria.

The one million man March for Peter Obi, organized by multiple groups in favor of Peter Obi’s presidential bid, is projected to bring up to 100,000,000 individuals to 37 locations around Nigeria.

The group is made up of a Coalition For Peter Obi-CPO: • LMPO Likes For Peter Obi • NNF’O • POSN • TBN • Women for Peter Obi • Peter Obi FC • POMP.POCM • POA • TeamOHO.

The organizers are encouraging people to come with snacks and drinks and are also calling on entertainers to come in for the support.

The march will mostly take place in most of the PDP state secretariats. 

In addition to the major demonstrations in Lagos and Abuja, over 30 more gatherings are scheduled across the country.

Here’s what to know about the one million man March for Peter Obi in Nigeria this weekend.

Events include a rally at each PDP secretariat across the 36 states of Nigeria, including Abuja, at 10:00 a.m.
